Billing

What happens if I stop paying, or if I cancel?

Company 2 min read SpliceRun ops

Nobody should have to dig through a Terms of Service to find out what happens to their data. Here is the short version, in plain language.

A payment failed

You get a 3-day grace period first — your instance keeps running while we retry the charge and email you. If it is still unpaid after 3 days, the instance is suspended (stopped, not deleted), and you have a further 7 days to update payment and restore it exactly as it was.

I cancelled on purpose

You can export everything before or after cancelling. If you change your mind, you have 30 days to reactivate and restore from backup. After 60 days total, data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered — so if there is any chance you will want it back, export a copy or reactivate before then.

The full breakdown

The complete policy, including the EU 14-day cancellation right and how it applies here, lives on our Cancellation & Data Policy page.
