About the company

Real managed hosting. Nothing hidden.

One principle guides everything we build: you should always know what you are paying for. SpliceRun is an independent managed hosting company started after we kept seeing the same trade-off: low-cost hosting usually left customers alone when something broke, while managed platforms often became expensive, opaque, or unnecessarily complex. SpliceRun exists to give small teams a clearer option: managed infrastructure with visible ownership, practical limits, and direct accountability.

Independent provider India-based team Clear ownership model

Mission

Remove infrastructure complexity without removing customer control.

Managed hosting should come with a clear answer to three questions: what is included, who owns what, and who do you reach when something goes wrong. SpliceRun is built to answer all three, without burying the details in fine print.

We started SpliceRun after running into the same operational problems ourselves: SSL renewals that needed attention at the wrong time, backups that were easy to set up but easy to forget, updates that carried risk when nobody owned the environment, and hosting providers that left too many details unclear. The goal was not to create another flashy platform. It was to make managed open-source hosting feel boring, accountable, and dependable.

What we do

Production operations, handled end to end.

SpliceRun manages your server environment so your team is not spending evenings on SSL renewals, missed patches, or backup gaps. Security hardening, OS and application updates, health monitoring, and daily backups are standard on every plan, not optional extras.

  • Security hardening and ongoing patch discipline
  • OS and application-layer updates on a clear path
  • TLS/SSL configured for reliable public access
  • Health monitoring and practical alerting
  • Daily backups included on every plan
  • One monthly invoice for standard managed plans

Ownership and infrastructure

Clear lines. No ambiguity.

You own the application, the data, and the workflows. You also choose how infrastructure is provisioned. We own keeping that environment healthy, secure, and current within the stated limits of your plan.

You own

  • Your application instances and configuration
  • Your data, workflows, and business logic
  • The right to export and leave on clear terms

We operate

  • Server security, patching, and hardening
  • SSL, updates, monitoring, and daily backups
  • Day-to-day environment health within plan limits

Infrastructure paths

Standard managed plans. We provision and operate infrastructure on your behalf. You get a production environment without selecting or managing a VPS.

Provider-choice path (flagship n8n stack). Customers can select from recognised VPS providers, including Contabo and Liquid Web, or bring their own server. The managed operations model is identical either way: security, updates, daily backups, and support within plan limits.

Why we exist

Built from a real frustration.

SpliceRun started because we ran n8n in production and found the same gap every time: self-hosting was either fully DIY (fast to break, slow to fix) or handed to platforms that buried backups behind upsells, hid infrastructure behind opaque pods, or expanded into huge multi-app catalogs before the basics worked reliably.

We built SpliceRun to run the ops layer properly: one clear invoice, named infrastructure you can look up, dependable recoverability, and support that reaches the people actually running the platform.

The long-term plan is a serious open-source hosting platform with a broad app catalog, built carefully over time. The near-term discipline is different: prove the operational core is solid first. We are not rushing into a huge app catalog until the basics for n8n are consistently solid.

Who we serve

For teams that need production, not a hobby stack.

  • Freelancers and consultants

Client work should not depend on a laptop, a forgotten certificate, or a weekend server incident.

  • Small teams and agencies

Business-critical open-source tools need a stable environment and a predictable monthly cost.

  • Operators who want hands-off production

    Self-hosted capability without becoming a full-time sysadmin.

How we operate

What guides every decision.

  • Transparency

Named infrastructure, stated plan limits, and claims you can verify. If we cannot back it up, we do not say it.

  • Reliability

Operational discipline is the default, not an afterthought: environment health, recoverability, and stated limits you can rely on.

  • Direct accountability

Support reaches Ajit Tiwari or Vaibhav – the people running the platform – not an anonymous queue with no owner.

  • Focused scope

n8n first, done well. More apps follow only when the operational core has earned it.

Team

The team behind the platform.

SpliceRun is intentionally lean. Every customer communicates with the people who built and operate the infrastructure: no intermediary queue, no account manager who cannot answer a technical question. That is a deliberate choice, not a limitation we are working around.

A

Ajit Tiwari

Founder · Product and Customer Commitments

Ajit is responsible for product direction, customer commitments, onboarding, and the standards customers experience after signup.

Background: maritime industry experience and hands-on automation work. SpliceRun came from the frustration of running production workflows without a managed option that felt transparent, reliable, and fairly priced.

V

Vaibhav

Operations Support · Infrastructure, Testing, and Reliability

Vaibhav supports infrastructure operations, environment checks, backup verification, update testing, documentation, and day-to-day platform discipline.

Background: hands-on infrastructure work, focused on keeping customer environments current, recoverable, and monitored.

Being a small team means you get faster answers, real context, and direct accountability. It also means we are transparent about our scale: SpliceRun is not the right fit for organisations that require a round-the-clock NOC, guaranteed sub-hour SLA coverage, or redundant support staff. For teams that value responsiveness and direct access over headcount, we are built for that.

Licensing

A note on n8n licensing.

Because we want customers to understand exactly what they are buying, we are clear about where SpliceRun sits in relation to n8n licensing.

n8n is distributed under the Sustainable Use License for the Community edition. This licence permits personal and internal business use. Commercial use, such as building and selling workflows or automation services to clients, requires an n8n Enterprise licence, obtained directly from n8n GmbH.

SpliceRun manages the hosting environment. We do not provide, include, or resell n8n licences. We are not affiliated with, owned by, or partnered with n8n GmbH. If your use case requires an Enterprise licence, that is a separate arrangement with n8n GmbH. We are happy to clarify what falls under each category before you sign up. Just ask.

Looking ahead

Where this is going.

Right now the focus is narrow on purpose: get the operational core right before adding anything else. The longer plan is a serious open-source hosting platform – potentially hundreds of apps over time – but only when each addition meets the same standard as the first.

We want SpliceRun to grow without giving up the customer ownership and direct accountability it started with. Customer ownership of data and software is non-negotiable at every stage of growth.
